Comfort and colour to little feet in Devon

23rd Mar 2010   In Play Areas

Specialist flooring company, Tact Enviro Ltd, has given one Devon nursery a re-vamp with its hygienic and safe flooring – a welcome treat for little feet.

Located in Okehampton, the Stepping Stones nursery has received a complete installation of TactTiles to its new play area.

Unlike many other wet surface materials, Tact Enviro’s innovative tiles are hygienic, extremely durable and environmentally friendly, making them ideal for children’s play areas, such as at Stepping Stones.

Chris Acton of Stepping Stones nursery said, “The new flooring is fantastic and only took three days to install the entire area. Tact Enviro could not have been more helpful and we have received lots of positive feedback from staff and visitors.”

The innovative modular system can be tailored to fit practically any area, making it remarkably versatile and suitable for high-traffic areas where minimal maintenance and flexibility is desired.

The bespoke flooring has an anti-slip and forgiving surface, acting like a sprung floor, making it perfect for little feet. The tiles also have a free draining system that moves water away from the surface, so that it remains clean and dry.

Pippa Highnam, founder of Tact Enviro Ltd prides herself on the durable yet cost-effective element of the tiles.

Pippa says, “With minimal preparation, minimal maintenance and a surface which can be relocated if needs change, TactTiles provide leading performance and value for money for venues and clients that need hardwearing, safe and attractive floor surfaces.”

As well as providing an installation service for the large and more complex applications, such as large sports courts and surrounds for swimming pools, Tact Enviro takes a consultative approach with clients, advising on each project, and smaller, domestic installations can often be managed by competent DIY enthusiasts.
