Tennis Court surface
Description
Made from the same design as other TactTiles in the range, the Tennis tile features a specially textured surface which creates exactly the right ball rise and bounce and giving what the Swedish Tennis Association describes as a ‘medium pace’ game. The Tennis tile incorporates a little rubber and, as with other sports TactTiles, the surface is easy on the back and joints allowing players to play for longer and being particularly beneficial for older players.
TactTiles Tennis should be installed on a hard and firm drained surface; this can be over an old court, roadstone tarmac, or for a very cost effective option, over crushed stone powder.
TactTiles Tennis can be used indoors and out; maintenance free. If used outside, an annual scrub with a street sweeper is recommended. The court lines are now part of the tile system, so white lining is a thing of the past. TactTiles Tennis are also easy to install on a DIY basis.

Pattern
Tennis has a ’snowflake’ pattern. When the modular surface is assembled, the effect is seamless. The pattern creates very small triangular holes in the tile which allows water to drain and air to circulate. The surface is textured with ’knobs’, this provides the correct ball rise and assists with reaching shots.
Edges
Can be used if required around the edge of the court to provide a neat finish and prevent a trip hazard. Edges are available in the whole colour range.
Expansions
In order to allow for thermal movement, Expansions are inserted into the court. Expansions in white form the baselines of the court. Cross pieces are available for intersections.
Corners
Corners are required where 2 outer Edges meet
