The School wanted to resurface its existing rough concrete playground with a child friendly playground surface that could be used for learning activities and creative play. The sports hall also needed a new floor to replace old cork tiling that was breaking up and causing a trip hazard.
As TactTiles are designed to be installed over existing flooring, the new playground surface and sports flooring inside could be laid quickly with very little preparation work. In addition to keeping the cost to a minimum, this also means that there was very little disruption to school activities.
Peter Yates is the British School’s headmaster. “Like any school, we needed a long-term solution at the best value for money with as little disruption as possible,” he said. “I’m amazed we had to go all the way across Europe to get it, but it was worth it - we are absolutely delighted with the results, and the children love it.”
