Children at Air Parcs Leisure Centre in Feltham are delighted with the innovative floor design that now surrounds their teaching swimming pool.
Air Parcs approached Tact with a request to design and lay a floor to replace the synthetic carpet covering the children’s’ play area at one end of the pool. “The carpet was saturated and was showing signs of mould,” says John Highnam, Tact’s Sales Director. “A more appropriate flooring surface was needed that could stand up to the environment.”
Tact’s installation experts removed the carpet, grinding back the glue underneath. The whole floor area was sealed, and then TactTiles were laid in abstract floral shapes that proved an instant hit with the children using the swimming pool.
The new floor is maintenance-free and very easy to clean. Its polypropylene surface does not harbour bacteria and provides anti-slip grip for little feet.
Following the success of the installation, Air Parcs has now had TactTiles installed over the access platforms to their flumes and water slides.
