British School uses Tact in Tehran - MULTI-SPORT floor tiles
Somerset company Tact has spent three days in Tehran refurbishing The British School’s playground surface and sports flooring.
The sports hall needed a new floor to replace old cork tiling that was breaking up and causing a trip hazard. As TactTiles are designed to be installed over existing flooring, the new surfaces could be laid quickly with very little preparation work.
Peter Yates is the British School’s headmaster. “Like any school, we needed a long-term solution at the best value for money with as little disruption as possible,” he said. “I’m amazed we had to go all the way across Europe to get it, but it was worth it - we’re absolutely delighted with the results, and the children love it.”
Tact’s Sales Director John Highnam went over to Iran as the consultant for the job. “We’re delighted to have been able to help,” he said. “That the flooring resists fading and is so durable which are obviously both major considerations in the Middle East, but otherwise the only unusual factor was that it took some time for the stock to be released from customs – they’d never seen anything like it before!”
