Playground Surfaces

 

The most economical playground surface in our outdoor activity flooring range, is our Pedestrian floor tile which is an ideal surface for running around and ball games.

The playground surface tiles are available in a range of vibrant colours that can be used to create exciting designs to enhance the learning experience of young children.  Tact's mini road system with zebra crossings and coloured tiles for 'traffic lights' can be used to raise road safety awareness.

This playground surface has excellent drainage and dries very quickly after rain.  It stays clean and prevents dirt from being tracked indoors.  If it does become dirty, it can be hosed, scrubbed or washed making it the ultimate in hygienic outdoor surfaces.

TactTiles playround surfaces can be installed onto any sub-surface even if its not level.  We can create a suitable sub-surface from any grassed area, quickly providing a play surface which is clean and free draining.   We have even created a safe and practical playground surface over an old, listed, cobblestoned yard.  The installation caused no damage to the cobblestones and can easily be removed if the building use changes.

No more cobblestones

This Victorian school building is listed and the old stable yard had a cobblestone surface.  Pedestrian tiles laid on a sand bed have created a practical and fun playground surface which can easily be removed if required.


Leisure Centre Play Area

An area of old rubber crumb was replaced with a vibrant and exciting play area which included a full alphabet, hopscotch and a curling 'maze'.


Contained play area for small children

A safe play area for small children can be created quickly and easily by just condoning off an area of tarmac with some picket fencing and laying the Pedestrian surface.  This area looks appealing and provides a safe, clean surface for children.


Transform an old garden area

This scrap of garden down the side of the building was muddy and dull.  Using Tact's levelling and membrane technique, a level and free draining surface was quickly created, with Pedestrian floor tiles creating colour and fun.  The dirt tracked indoor was significantly reduced!


Fine for 5-a-side

Pedestrian floor tiles create a fun and vibrant indoor play area for kids to run about and play 5-a-side football and other games.  The most economical TactTiles option for this hall.
